Woman Injured in Stabbing – Suspect Arrested

Eugene, Ore. – On July 29, at 10:46 p.m., Eugene Police officers and a Lane County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a reported stabbing at Strike City Bowling, 1166 Hwy. 99 N.

 

 

 

UPDATE: VICTOR HERRERA has been arrested as the suspect in this incident. He was located in Creswell, Oregon, and arrested. He is currently in the Lane County Jail facing assault in the first degree, and unlawful use of a weapon.  Case #: 22-11426

UPDATE from EPD Aug 1, 2022, 9:53 AM: Victor Herrera, age 53, of Eugene, was observed on July 30 at 5:35 p.m. by Eugene Police at 305 E. Oregon Avenue in Creswell, Oregon. With the assistance of Lane County Sheriff’s Office deputies, they contacted and arrested Herrera without incident. He was transported to Lane County Jail on charges of Assault in the First Degree Abuse Prevention Act (domestic violence), and Unlawful Use Weapon

 

 

 

A woman had been stabbed by a man who fled northbound on foot. Officers searched along with a K9 but the man was not located.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and the investigation is ongoing.

 

 

The victim and suspect are known to each other.
