Street Crimes Unit and EPD Arrest Felon in Possession of Firearms

​​Eugene, Ore. – In what proved to be a busy day (5/17/23) for multiple EPD divisions and units, Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit, SWAT, Drone Team, K9, and Investigations Division executed a search warrant in the 3100 block of W. 17th Avenue.

Many of the resources deployed on this search warrant were staffed later in the day to serve a warrant at approximately 6 p.m. at an Amirante residence.

Dylan Bradley Stahl – 2019 mugshot

For the W. 17th Avenue search warrant: An SCU officer had gained information Dylan Bradley Stahl, age 33, was in possession of multiple firearms and as a felon is prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.

The SCU officer applied for and was granted the search warrant for the location by a Lane County Circuit Court judge.

Approximately one hour into their work, Stahl was seen leaving the location in a vehicle. EPD SWAT went into action and pinned the vehicle at the intersection of Acorn Park and W. 11th Avenue. Stahl was safely taken into custody. The search of the residence and vehicle resulted in the recovery of four firearms and ammunition.

An AR15 with 9 fully loaded magazines and an attached factory suppressor, 40 caliber handgun, a .22 six-shot revolver, and a 10/22 semi-automatic rifle with optic.

Stahl was charged with four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Suppressor.

This was another great example of sound investigative tactics leading to a successful and collaborative effort to remove firearms from a felon.
