Eugene, Ore. – At 9:05 p.m. on April 5, Central Lane 911 dispatched Eugene Police officers to a crash at Beltline eastbound between River Road and Delta Highway.

Arriving officers found a Eugene man had crashed his Ford F 350 pickup into a large tree outside a fence surrounding Canopies Plus. The sides and roof of the vehicle were caved in, and officers determined the crash was a single-vehicle crash and that there had not been passengers in the truck at the time of the crash.

EPD’s Major Collision Investigations team responded to the scene for an investigation. Alcohol impairment is being instigated as a factor in the crash.
