Road Rage Incident Leaves One Person Shot – Suspect and Vehicle Outstanding

Eugene, OR – Eugene Police responded to a report of a gunshot wound on December 19, 2021 at 0853 hours, with the victim and their vehicle remaining near 11th Ave (Hwy 126) and Commerce in Eugene.

 

UPDATE: The suspect vehicle remains a Silver or Grey sedan, possibly a Volkswagen, driven by a male, possibly Latino, Last seen wearing a baseball style hat and glasses. The suspect vehicle had a female passenger, Caucasian or Latina, with dyed red hair.

The victim vehicle was driven by a male, who received non-life threatening injuries, with a female passenger.

Officers quickly located the shooting victim, a male, and Eugene Springfield Fire and Life Safety paramedics treated and transported them to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect vehicle, last seen Eastbound on 11th Ave, was described as a silver sedan, possibly a Volkswagen, with two occupants.

A vehicle matching the description with two occupants was stopped with the assistance of Oregon State Police and Lane County Sheriff’s Office but turned out not to be the suspects. Eugene Police Violent Crimes Detectives are responding to the scene near 11th and Commerce.
