At the same time, we recognize that individuals who have been arrested may experience negative consequences and stigma as a result of their arrest record and associated mugshot being published online.

To address this concern, we have implemented a policy where all arrest information and associated mugshots are automatically removed from our website after 30 days, with the exception of those for individuals who are still incarcerated, known to be repeat offenders, or when charges are prolific. Additionally, we have streamlined the process for individuals to request immediate removal of their mugshot and arrest information.

We believe that this policy strikes a balance between our obligation to provide accurate and timely information to the public and our responsibility to minimize harm to individuals who have been arrested. We will continue to monitor and evaluate our policy to ensure that we are upholding our commitment to ethical journalism and responsible publishing practices.
