Rash of 10 Downtown Trash Bin and Dumpster Fires Reported on Sunday

Eugene, Ore. – Starting around 6:40 a.m. on February 27, there were 10 trash bin and dumpster fires reported in the downtown Eugene area.

 

Those fires were set over a span of about four and half hours. Buildings or vehicles were damaged by three of the fires.

Eugene Springfield Fire and Eugene Police responded. Eugene Police Arson detectives are investigating. They are asking for anyone who may have tips to call, and especially are asking businesses in the area that may have video of the suspect to call 541.682.5111, so detectives can review and collect the video.
