Salem, Ore. – On Monday, April 10, 2023, at approximately 8:42 A.M., an Oregon State Trooper was involved in a critical incident on Interstate 5 northbound, near milepost 254.
The incident included an Officer Involved Shooting and a suspect is deceased.

Traffic will be impacted in the area for several hours.
The Marion County Major Crimes team has been activated and Salem PD is the lead investigating agency. All further releases will come from Salem PD or the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.
