A woman, later identified as Amanda Lillian Garcia, 31, of Eugene, was driving the work truck and when she saw the officer, she pulled into a driveway in the 2200 block of Floral Hill Drive. Garcia fled from the vehicle and the officer stopped her in the side yard of the residence she had parked in. Garcia fought with the officer, grabbed his vest and radio, and then made several attempts to grab his holstered firearm. Another officer arrived and assisted the first officer with taking Garcia into custody.
