Eugene, Ore. – A man was convicted, and sentenced on April 6th, 2022 for a fatal vehicle vs pedestrian hit and run crash that happened on W. 11th and Oakpatch January 8th, 2022.
PARKER WILLIAM VOLBERG was sentenced to 18 month in prison for the January 8th, 2022 fatal W. 11th and Oakpatch hit an run. His post-prison supervision duration: 3 years, driver’s license suspension: 5 years.
Volberg was convicted of: Failure to Perform Duties of Driver to Seriously Injured Persons, felony. Volberg is eligible for alternative incarceration. Meaning early release, and good time.
Volberg was transferred on 04/07/2022 to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for intake. From there he will be transferred, and housed in an all male prison facility after intake.
According to the Oregon Department of Corrections, Volberg’s earliest release date is 05/30/2023.

Suspect in custody for Hit and Run after fatal pedestrian-vehicle crash
01/09/2022 – Eugene Police are no longer seeking the van and a suspect is in custody. The suspect vehicle was located near the intersection of Clear Lake Road and Territorial Highway on January 9. Eugene Police officers, K9 unit and Drone Team operator responded and observed an individual inside the van.
The suspect was reported to be suicidal, and had access to a firearm. Officers hailed the occupant, who was later confirmed to be the suspect. The suspect complied with commands and detained without incident. A firearm was recovered.
The suspect, Parker William Volberg, age 29, was lodged at Lane County Jail on a charge of Felony Hit and Run.
