Eugene, Ore. – BENJAMIN GREGORY TAYLOR plead guilty to one charge of robbery in the second degree on Nov. 08th, 2022.
Taylor was sentenced today, Nov. 21st, 2022, to 5 years, 10 months and 2 days in prison, minus any time in county jail.
Taylor will serve each and every day of his sentence as it is a measure 11 crime. No early release, no good time credits.
****ORIGINAL STORY****
Eugene, Ore. – On May 27, 2022, at approximately 10:42 a.m., U.S. Bank notified law enforcement that a bank robbery had just occurred at their Santa Clara branch, 20 Division Avenue. It was learned that the suspect entered the US Bank and purported to be armed with a firearm. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.
Several detectives from the Eugene Police Financial Crimes Unit conducted the investigation and were able to identify the suspect as Benjamin Gregory Taylor, age 20, of Springfield.
Today, June 3, 2022, EPD SWAT Team, EPD K9 Unit, and detectives from the Financial Crimes and Property Crimes Units served a search warrant on Taylor’s residence in the Gateway area.
Taylor was subsequently lodged at the Lane County Jail and charged with Robbery in the Second Degree (Case 22-08094).
