Eugene, Ore. – At 8:56 a.m. on December 13, Eugene Police were called to the 2500 block of Kincaid Street after reports man was pointing a rifle toward several parked unoccupied cars in the area, before walking back inside a nearby residence.
Officers were aware of an ongoing domestic issue. At one point, the man, identified as Nicholas Robert Nash, age 32, of Eugene, went outside, and an officer went to intercept him, but he went back inside.
Officers attempted to contact him at his door, but he didn’t respond and an officer reported seeing several blinds being closed on the second level. Nash had a warrant for his arrest. Several on-duty EPD SWAT team members responded to assist and EPD’s Crisis Negotiation Team also responded. Later a female exited the home.
After opening the door and hailing inside, Nash eventually exited and was taken into custody without incident on the warrant at 11:02 a.m.. The involved rifle was determined to be a pellet rifle.
Nash was transported to Lane County Jail on his warrant. Case 2218655

This is not even kind of accurate. I am the woman in the home. My PARTNER went outside to grab a printer he got for me from his vehicle, which was under an air pump BB gun he recently got as a xmas gift for a family member. He MOVED the toy gun to be able to grab the printer from his back seat. This is fucking deplorable.
