Springfield, Ore. – On June 22nd at 0126hrs Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at AMPM on Gateway St.
Employees reported that a male with a long pony tail held a gun to an employees head and demanded money. Ultimately, the suspect departed the store with only stolen cigars. A Patrol Officer was nearby at the time of the call, and quickly found the suspect to the north of the business. He was taken into custody without incident. The stolen property was recovered nearby.

A citizen saw and heard what happened, and saw the suspect run from the store. She saw the suspect drop the gun and continue on. To protect others, she secured the weapon. It was found to be a Glock replica air soft gun. No one was injured during the incident and Fletes was lodged at the Lane County Jail for Robbery II and (Menacing x2 – no filed).
Suspect is Eligio Hunter Fletes. 18 year old from Eugene.
