Fatal Motorcycle Crash HWY 99 E – Marion County

Woodburn, Ore. – On Friday, January 28, 2022 at approximately 1:25 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle crash on Hwy 99E near milepost 34.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed a southbound Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by David Johnson (54) of Woodburn, was traveling at high rate of speed when it left the roadway and went into a field. The motorcycle struck a telephone pole guidewire and caught on fire.

Johnson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

 

Hwy 99E traffic was impacted for approximately 3 hours.
