Linn County, Ore. – On Saturday, January 29, 2022 at approximately 10:06 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred in the intersection of Highway 34 and Seven Mile Lane.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge Sprinter van, operated by Joshua Kumpe (32) of Lebanon, was westbound on Hwy 34 and struck a southbound Ford Escort, operated by David Weis (43) of Albany, that was in the intersection.
Weis sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. A passenger in the Ford Escort, Kristina Boswell (36) of Sweet Home, was transported to an area hospital with injuries. Kumpe was not injured.
OSP was assisted by Lebanon Fire Department and ODOT.
