Eugene, Ore. – Eugene Police and Eugene Springfield Fire responded to an apartment fire on November 6, around 7:29 p.m.
One apartment was involved and nearby units were evacuated safely. ESF crews arrived on scene quickly and had the fire under control soon after arrival.

One person was found deceased. At this time, the person’s death does not appear criminal in nature. The medical examiner responded to the scene and retained the jurisdiction of the deceased.
The name of the person found deceased in the 1515 Bailey Hill apartment fire is Gerald Vincent Estrella, age 40.
