Eugene, Ore. – The Eugene Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals in the attached photographs. These two people are possible witnesses to the homicide which occurred on the LTD bus on November 19, 2022.

***ORIGINAL STORY***
Eugene, Ore. – The victim of a random brutal assault on an LTD bus this morning has died as a result of his injuries. The suspect, according to the EPD case number for this incident, is DEREK JULES DINNELL.
Charged with one single count of murder in the second degree now. Dinnell was originally charged with assault in the first degree, and robbery in the first degree.
Murder in the second degree carries a minimum measure 11 sentence of 25 years if convicted. If convicted, every day of that sentence, minus time in county jail, must be served. No early release, or good time credit.
The victim in this case is Travis Allen Sanders, age 69, of Springfield. Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking to speak with several people who witnessed the incident. Detectives are asking them to please come forward with information in this case.
