Eugene, Ore. – A crashed white Hyundai Elantra sits on Seneca Road near W. 7th. This vehicle is the same make and model as the vehicle of interest in the Moscow, Idaho murders. .
Many people in the community have wondered if this crashed vehicle could be related to the Moscow, Idaho murders.

At 5:19 a.m. on December 17, a person called 911 saying a person was sleeping inside a vehicle. It was a Hyundai Elantra. Officers responded to the call at W. 7th Place and Seneca Road and contact was made. There was no further report. The car had been involved in a non-injury crash December 15 and left there after info exchange. (We have updated with the latest most accurate information. We had thought this crash was on the 16th due to call log information, but have received updated accurate info from EPD.)
Update: 7:51am 12/20/2022 – From Eugene Police: “We have no information to indicate it is related to the Moscow, Idaho, case. We sent the vehicle information to Moscow, Idaho, so they have it to review.” ~EPD
Moscow Idaho Police Homicide Update – December 20, 2022

“Investigators are aware of a Hyundai Elantra located in Eugene, Oregon and have spoken with the owner. The vehicle was involved in a collision and subsequently impounded. The vehicle is registered out of Colorado and the female owner is not believed to have any relation to any property in Moscow, Idaho or the ongoing murder investigations. The public is asked to stop contacting the owner.” ~City of Moscow (Idaho) Police Department

We reached out to the Eugene Police Department to get a statement about this vehicle. Here is what police are saying: “We are aware of it and have sent the vehicle information to Moscow Idaho. We will refer everybody to call Moscow Idaho police for any additional information.” ~EPD.

Hi there, is it true that the vin number for this vehicle has returned info that the car was linked the son of the landlord of 1122 King Road, Moscow, Idaho, or is that an unverified rumor. I do not see the Vin number listed anywhere .
This vehicle, and the driver/owner ,are in no way associated with the Moscow, Idaho murders, the property at 1122 Kings Road, Moscow, Idaho, or the property owners at 1122 Kings Road, Moscow, Idaho.
