A GoFundMe claims this man was the person down, David Ramirez. Police have not verified this.
“You may or may not know my brother David. You might know him from growing up with him here in Eugene or maybe even just as a simple friendly smiling face at Cricket Wireless. But for those of you who haven’t had the opportunity to get to know him, he has always been a very hard working single dad and always has made his 2

daughters his number 1 priority. Unfortunately, on Saturday around 2am, David was assaulted in Downtown Eugene which then resulted in him being rushed to the hospital. We then immediately found out, he was suffering from a cranial fracture with internal bleeding to his brain. He then was rushed in for emergency surgery to remove a part of his skull, to alleviate the brain swelling.” (Quote from this GoFundMe)
