STEVEN DANIEL WAGES has been booked into the Lane County Jail on the charges of Attempted murder, Assault in the 1st degree, and Unlawful use of a weapon.
Creswell, Ore. – On 04/25/22 at around 7:30PM, deputies from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an injured and unconscious male at a residence in the 700blk of N. Mill St. in Creswell. Upon arrival deputies discovered that the male had been assaulted and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The suspect in the assault, 57 year old Steven Wages, fled the location prior to police arrival. Deputies notified surrounding agencies and worked through the night to locate him. Wages was located and taken into custody by police in the Brookings area this morning.
Wages will be transported back to Lane County where he will be lodged at the Lane County Jail. Charges are still to be determined.
