Eugene, Ore. – On February 7, 2022, at 1:23 a.m. Eugene Police officers responded to report of a vehicle crash near W. 18th Avenue and Josh Street. A Ford F250 was reported to have crashed into a parked vehicle and then ended up in a backyard. There were multiple callers.

When officers arrived on scene they found the truck had first struck a guardrail at the northwest corner of the intersection of W. 18th Avenue and Josh Street as it was traveling west. The vehicle continued to where it struck a parked Honda Accord causing damage to the rear of the vehicle and spun it around 180 degrees until it was facing east.
The truck then went across the roadway and struck and damaged a garbage can and then continued up a sloped yard. The vehicle ran through the side fence of a residence and then hit the southeast corner of the house. The vehicle continued to crash through more of the backyard before coming to rest facing

west behind the involved house.
Officer contacted the driver, Eric Todd Shadowen, age 37 of Eugene, and he was cooperative with the investigation. He was charged with DUII and Reckless Driving.
