Bend, Ore. – The identity of the Bend, Oregon Safeway shooter, and his victims, has been released by the Bend Police Department.
Incident: Shooting at Eastside Safeway

Location: Eastside Safeway, 2650 NE Highway 20, Bend
At approximately 7:04 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28, Bend Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at the Forum Shopping Center in northeast Bend.
The shooter has been identified as Ethan Blair Miller, age 20 of Bend, Oregon. Police say he died of a self-inflicted gunshot.
Three Molotov cocktails, a sawed off shotgun, and additional ammunition, was found in the suspect’s vehicle by police.
A manifesto of sorts was posted to the wattpad.com site, wattpad has since hidden, or removed that account. The account, by user wrathofman22, detailed his plans to commit a shooting, and kill himself. Each entry by wrathofman22 was signed “Ethan”, and showed a picture that appears to be Ethan Miller. Bend Police have referred to these writings, but, at this time, have not verified they were from the shooter. wrathofman22’s account was not public until the day of the shooting.
The victims were identified as a customer, Glenn Edward Bennett, age 84, who was shot, and killed, near the front of
the store, and Safeway employee Donald Ray Surrett Jr., age 66, who was shot, and killed, near the back of the store. in the produce department
